MSCM - Introduction

The Malaysian Society for Complementary Medicine (MSCM) is the Professional T/CM practitioner's body.

"To work towards integrated medicine in Malaysia. To produce high quality practitioners of preventive medicine using solely traditional and complementary methods and to make Malaysia a leading destination for Health Tourism"

We have hundreds of traditional/complementary medicine (T/CM) practitioners in the country and MSCM has the fastest growing number of qualified T/CM practitioner membership today.

The vision of MSCM is to inform, educate and empower the public on awareness and understanding of the human body, spirit and mind. MSCM strive to achieve this by drawing upon and sharing wealth of information available in different complementary health care disciplines.

Conventional medicine is "second to none" when it comes to surgery, emergency and trauma treatment, but there is no doubt that complementary medicine produces comparable result for just about everything else. The society is encouraging the growing awareness of T/CM in Malaysia by showcasing the science and art of each discipline in a professional manner and conforms to ethical conduct.

The society is in constant effort to encourage all the practitioners to present their work in a scientific and a professional manner through research base. The society has formed an Accreditation Committee that consists of highly qualified Chapters Leaders with years of experience in their practice in various form of treatment modalities from countries of Europe, U.S., India and China

The Committee is in constant process to review Chapters in their modalities and have certain guidelines set forth which exhibit proper documentations, reliable equipments used and local authorities approved in their premise of practice.

These Chapters Leaders have presented their treatment modalities and have proven their professionalism and have satisfied the members of the Accreditation Committee before conducting training programs to train and produce more practitioners of their field.
